First day on the job
There was a section in the questionnaire I just filled out (in the new user set up page)that gave an example of what NOT to do in the "Interest" section. So I avoided verbose statements as they had suggested and wrote as precisely as possible, but what they didn't tell you was that they were gong to take your interests and sum them up for you anyway. All my interests, an exact three, were like government released video with each interest neatly, but obviously, spliced (in between commas). It is possible that I could fix that, but I guess it doesn't matter anyway. By this point, I'm already disinterested in my interests. It's the thought that counts. I really havent read any other livejournals or weblongs in the past. This is my first attempt at everything. "Wow" is the only word to describe the effect of this evolution in communication (the foundation of society). There are mass amounts of people out there who have something to say, and if you're not going to say it to anyone in particular, why not just say it to everyone? Literature, this is what we build our culture upon. I wonder if that's why they have the same suffix. I should google it. That's a good one. Someone should trademark and copyright that: "Google it!" If no one has by now, then I will. Let this be the spawn of my idea. If someone has already, then I'm sorry, but you would have to prove that it occured after this date and time. If you don't know by now, "Google it!" I just find it ironic that at this level of comminicative advancement in our society, CNN ran an article "Rumsfeld: Al Qaeda has better PR" Donald Rumsfeld was quoted in saying, "'Our enemies have skillfully adapted to fighting wars in today's media age, but ... our country has not adapted," Rumsfeld said.
'For the most part, the U.S. government still functions as a 'five and dime' store in an eBay world," Rumsfeld said, referring to old-fashioned U.S. retail stores and the online auction house respectively.'"
What does this mean? Should this not change today? I dont know, but it sounds like we're losing the war. C'mon Rumsfeld, just tell us the truth. That's exactly why Al Qaeda has better PR. Or at least, that's what they teach in the textbooks. Anyway, I just saw a commercial for "Eminem Live." That's fascinating! It never occured to me, but how interesting it would be to see him in concert. I mean, you always see him everywhere, i.e. movies, music videos, on television, whatever. But I wonder what he's like "live and in person!" I wonder if it would have the same effect? Oh well.
